God's message for you is coming from Isaiah 41 verses 10-12. This reading is not from the King James Version of the Bible. You don’t have to read from the King James’ version if you don’t understand it. Get a Bible that you can readily understand and speaks directly to your soul.
In these verses from Isaiah 41 - GOD tells us:
“Don’t be afraid. I am with you.
Don’t tremble with fear.
I am your GOD.
I will make you strong, as I protect you with my arm
and give you victories.
Everyone who hates you will be terribly disgraced;
those who attack you will vanish into thin air.
You will look around for those the brutal enemies,
but you won’t find them –
they will be gone.
I am the LORD your GOD
I am holding your hand,
so don’t be afraid
I am here to help you." Isaiah 41:10-12
GOD is here to help you and heal you.
We are here to help as His vessels and His witnesses that He is God!
“Some 15 million Americans struggle with depression an illness that comes in many forms—from major depression and seasonal affective disorder, to dysthymia and bipolar disorder. Depressive disorder is an illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts. It interferes with daily life, normal functioning, and causes pain for both the person with the disorder and those who care about him or her.” [1]
The Lord, God has love and compassion for his people. He doesn't want to you to suffer in your depression anymore. He wants to help you or your loved one come out of the depression. The Lord healed me of a major depression, severe psychosis, and post traumatic stress disorder. This healing process did not happen overnight because the events that triggered the disorder did not happen overnight.
During the healing process, God provided me with some tools to fight the depression. These tools are used within the natural and supernatural realms. The reason for the supernatural is “God is a Spirit: and they who worship him must worship Him in spirit and truth” (John 4:24). Also supernatural forces such as the devil and his demons prey upon people who suffer from mental illness and those who abuse drugs and alcohol. You will be given tools to fight these forces. We are comprised of three components: a body, soul which contains our mind and emotions, and the spirit. Our spirit communicates with God's Holy Spirit. In order to fight this illness each of these components has to be addressed. My prayer is that God makes you whole in your mind (soul), body and spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Tools for Fighting Depression
1) The first step for fighting depression is you must be a Believer in Jesus Christ. You cannot overcome depression without God. You can't do anything in this life without God. God made you and loves you. Only God has the power to heal. God uses doctors to mend our wounds, but the actual healing is performed by God. The healing power comes through His son, Jesus Christ. If you are not a believer, not saved, and you have the desire to be saved say the following words out loud. “If you confess with your mouth that ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
2) Take Holy Communion often. There is healing power in the blood of Jesus Christ. The wine represents the blood of Jesus and the bread represents His body. The Scripture says “by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus was wounded for our sins. The blood that He shed on the cross cleansed us from all unrighteousness and healed us.
3) “Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with Holy oil in the name of the Lord” (James 5:14).
4) If the symptoms, lasts more than two months you may have clinical depression and you should seek professional help. Your treatment may require medication especially if you are unable to sleep. You must have the proper rest to fight this illness or your symptoms will get worse. There could be a neurochemical or hormonal imbalance in your system that requires medication. But do not worry because God is in the healing process. Pray beforehand that God gives you the right psychiatrist and the right medication.
5) Seek a professional counselor with a Godly perspective and insights in order to discuss and resolve any emotional issues that are contributing to your depressive thoughts. If you resolve your emotional issues, the depression will no longer have power over you. Help for your counseling sessions:
a) Before each session, invite the Lord Jesus into your session so he can guide the therapist in the direction that will bring about your healing.
b) If you have to cry, go ahead and cry because it purges and cleanses the soul.
c) Forgive those who have hurt you and forgive yourself. Forgiveness is the key to healing the brokenness inside of us. A broken heart can be healed with Jesus. Jesus said, ”the Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair” (Isaiah 61:1-3).
d) Ask God to give you courage to walk away from the people, places and things that are no longer good for you.
6) When you being tormented by depressive thoughts, cry out to God for help. Pray to him in the name Jesus. The name of Jesus has all power and authority over everything (John 13:3). “Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess and give praise to God” (Romans 14:11). When this name spoken, the depressive thoughts and demonic forces will have to flee. How to fight supernaturally:
a) Call on God's holy Angels to defend you against the demonic forces. Arch-Angel Michael is the chief warrior who fights the devil and demonic forces on your behalf. Arch-Angel Michael fights God’s enemies. God’s enemies are our enemies.
b) Read God's Holy Scriptures out loud. God's word is alive and powerful it will bring peace to your mind, soul and surroundings.
c) Play God’s music. When God’s Word is spoken or sung, the depressive thoughts will have to go!
d) Sing Hymns out loud to strengthen your faith in God.
e) Sprinkle Holy water on yourself and say, “Peace Be Still in the name of Jesus”. You can get Holy water from the Catholic Church or ask your Pastor to bless spring water.
f) Anoint your mind in the sign of the cross with Holy oil and pray for God’s help. Your mind is located at the back of your neck. Ask you Pastor or Priest to bless a bottle of olive oil for you to anoint yourself often.
g) Speak in tongues (in the Spirit). “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27).
7) Natural remedies:
a) Participate in activities that bring you joy.
b) Exercise – When you exercise, your body releases chemicals in the brain called endorphins which naturally balance your mental state.
c) Take up a new hobby
d) Do not isolate from others. Isolation is a symptom of the illness. Surround yourself with people you love and genuinely love you.
e) Hug often
f) Laugh - Laughter is medicine for your soul.
g) Keep a positive outlook by concentrating on what’s right in your life not what’s wrong.
h) Volunteer - If you volunteer to help others in the same situation, you will be helping yourself at the same time.
8) Pray every day, always thank God for everything, and end your prayer in the name Jesus amen.
Prayer ~ Father God, I pray to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I bind and cast out the spirit of depression, anxiety, worry, fear, doubt, unforgiveness, guilt, shame, unbelief, and any spirit that is not of you on earth as it is in heaven. I ask you to heal your people from the crown of their head to the soles of their feet. Let the healing power of Jesus free your people from any tormenting spirits so they can experience your peace and joy once again. Make them whole in their mind (soul), body and spirit. Reveal your glory in their lives and make know their divine purpose in your kingdom. I pray this prayer on earth as it is in heaven in the name of the Father God, Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Amen. Thank you God for what you’ve already done, for what you’re doing now, and for what you are about to do.
